Vertical Tasting of the Vinyes d’Olivardots Winery from 1pm to 2pm
Carme Casacuberta is the owner and oenologist of the Vinyes d’Olivardots winery, and the first woman to direct the DO Empordà since its creation in 1975. This year she will guide just 30 people through the remarkable evolution of her flagship white wine, Blanc de Gresa.
From Emporion to the DO Empordà, a tasting in search of the origin of wine, from 6pm to 7pm
Wine is the center of the story of this tasting. A journey through time and landscape to understand how wine took root in the Empordà, from the arrival of the Greeks in Empúries to the vines planted in the sand by the fishermen of L’Escala in modern times. Sant Martí d’Empúries is the setting where wine tells its own story.
The activity is guided by Romina Ribera, archaeologist and sommelier, founder of Glops d’Història, and proposes an interpretation of wine as landscape, memory and cultural heritage.
